The Gable Film.

A few years ago, this mysterious footage surfaced and quickly made the internet rounds. For reasons unknown, it had been simply known as The Gable Film. Little else was known about its origins, other than the supposed fact that the 8mm film was discovered in an attic and purchased at an estate sale.

The film you are about to watch is the complete, unedited version. I strongly recommend viewing the film throughout its entirety, from beginning to end. Pay attention to details, they will be important later.

Two days ago, an important new piece of evidence surfaced which, if true, may lead to solving the mystery of the Gable Film. Check out the video posted by YouTube user QuinlanOUR12. I feel obligated to post a note of warning here: if this new footage is indeed authentic, then it is extremely graphic and disturbing. Viewer discretion is advised.

Questions remain. What was the creature that attacked the cameraman in the original Gable Film? And is the gruesome discovery in QuinlanOUR12's new footage linked to the original Gable Film???

The Dyatlov Pass Incident.

Early in 1959, ten ski hikers departed on a very difficult trip towards Russia's Otorten Mountain.  The expedition was mounted by people with extensive experience in ski tours and long trip through the area's difficult winters.

On January 25, 1959, the group reached Ivdel and took a truck north to Vizhai.  On January 29, one member of the team stayed behind due to illness and the remaining nine embarked on their quest to reach Otorten Mountain.  It was the last time any of them were seen alive.

On February 12, they were expected back in Vizhai.  Now overdue, a rescue team was assembled and began to trace the expedition's route through the Dyatlov Pass.  On the 26th, the rescuers came across the team's abandoned campsite.  It wa deserted and the tent was badly damaged as if something had ripped through it.  Oddly, it appeared not as if something had tried to get into the tent, but rather like someone had ripped their way out.  Tracks were found leading away from the camp and, 500 meters away, the found the first two hikers next to the remains of a campfire - both of them were dead, shoeless, and in only their underwear.

Between the position of the first bodies, they found three more.  The positions of the corpses suggested that they were trying to return to the original camp, but succumbed along the way.

It was two months later that the remaining four hikers were found further into the woods.  They were in a ravine under four meters of snow.

Obviously, hikers dying on a dangerous expedition is not a great mystery, but as the officially inquest into the deaths began and the bodies were examined, it brought a mystery into the light that has not been fully explained in decades.

The first bodies discovered died of hypothermia.  It was discovered that one of the men had a crack in his skull, it it was hardly a fatal wound.  Since there were no obvious outward injuries to the other bodies, it was assumed that the same findings would be reached, but that was not the case.  As a matter of fact (although, as it was reported, there were no outward marks or injuries) one of the hikers had major skull injuries and two others were discovered to have suffered major chest injuries.  One of the doctors who conducted the investigation stated that the pressure to create that level of breakage would have to be caused by an enormous amount of pressure - like being hit by a car, but there were no wounds on the bodies.

The most shocking and disturbing discovery was that one of the dead hikers was missing her tongue.

The investigation concluded that everyone in the camp had left of their own accord, walking off into the snowy night while they slept, all of them in some state of undress.   Theories abounded that the camp had been attacked by the indigenous Mansi people, but that was dismissed as the bodies showed no wounds and the force needed to shatter the broken skulls and chests were so great they would not have been caused by human hands even with tools.

There were a few more details left to uncover that propelled this case into infamy.  Forensic radiation tests were conducted and it was determined that radiation contamination was present on some of the clothing taken from the bodies.  Family members even reported that, at the victim's funerals, the bodies appeared to have a strange orange tan.

Another group of hikers about 50 kilometers south of the incident reported that they saw strange orange spheres in the night sky to the north (likely in the direction of Kholat Syakhl) on the night of the incident. Similar "spheres" were observed in Ivdel and adjacent areas continually during the period of February to March 1959, by various independent witnesses (including the meteorology service and the military).

The Dyatlov Pass Incident continues to evoke a sense of eerie dread to those who investigate and study it and, whether you believe that the deaths were caused by aliens, an unlucky encounter with discarded Cold War ordinance, or simply poor judgment in dangerous conditions, this is one mystery that will continue to invite speculation far into the future.

DC: Washington's Demon Cat.

Something the government has been mum on for the last few hundred years is a demon living in the sublevels of the US Capitol Building.  This demon has spooked security, baffled witnesses, and... horrifically enough... is an omen of terrible tragedy for America or a change in office.

And, there is precious little information about it at all.

The demon comes in the form of a black cat.  When sighted, the animal appears to be a normal stray cat but when it approaches, it's said to have glowing eyes and grows larger to the size of a lion or bear.  Security guards have even been said to have shot at the cat only to discover that they are shooting at an empty hallway.  The demon cat vanishes without a trace.

The story of the demon cat, nicknamed "DC" by Capitol employees, begins shortly after the capitol building was completed.  Washington DC had something of a rat problem and cats were brought into the building to get rid of them.  As the rat problem was taken care of, the cats either wandered off or were adopted by people who worked there... but apparently, one remained.

DC has been seen periodically throughout the last 200 years.  Reportedly, he was spotted before the assassination of Lincoln and Garfield, before the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the death of Roosevelt, the assassination of Kennedy, the attempted assassination of Regan, and there was even an account of the cat being spotted the night of September 10th, 2001.

Whether real or the result of years of tall tales we cannot say, but if you ever find yourself in the Capitol Rotunda during a tour, take a look at the floor near the old entrance to the Senate Hall.  One thing that you cannot deny is the set of cat prints across the stone floor said to be made by the US Capitol's demon cat.

We Danced.

I know this one is a little longer, but its very fun to read!
Footsteps aren’t an uncommon thing to hear when you’re sitting in a basement, so I think nothing of it when I hear quiet thuds coming from my upstairs hallway. I just assume it’s my brother, and continue doing whatever pointless little thing I was doing at the time. They go on for another couple minutes, and I’m starting to get pissed off. They keep getting louder and louder and I sigh, wondering what the hell my brother’s doing this late at night. I sit there, because it’s impossible to focus with the racket. I mean, it sounds like someone’s power walking all over my main floor.

I sit there and listen as the thumps get faster and wilder. They just keep moving, almost starting to form a rhythm. They move even faster and get even wilder and they’re thumping all over my main floor. I realize that whatever this is, it can’t be human. No human can move like that.

“What the ****?!” I finally yell. After that, all the noises stop. Everything is quiet for a moment, and then I hear calm, slow footsteps moving to my basement door. The door is pushed open, and the footsteps stop again. I listen to my breathing for the next three minutes, then sigh, thinking it’s over. Turns out something else was listening, too. Suddenly I hear it thudding down the stairs, and I knock my chair over in my haste to stand up. I start to run towards the nearest closet, just in time to see a grotesque, hairless, four-legged creature, dancing towards me, tapping it’s swollen feet in an intoxicating rhythm. I dive into the closet and slam the door shut. There’s a half-second pause and then I hear that same rhythm on the door.

It just keeps going and going with no pause, no rests, no relief. He’s been at it for hours now, and I find myself tapping my fingers along with his song. But then, just as suddenly as it began, it ends. I wait for a few moments, then look out. He’s gone. I flip on a light and fall into a chair. It’s safe. I relax and think for a few moments. But then I notice my foot tapping. Maybe this song isn’t so bad, I almost like it enough to dance to it. So I drop down on my hands and feet, and I start.

Humanoid creature: Ningen

Over the past few years, rumors have circulated in Japan about the existence of gigantic humanoid life-forms inhabiting the icy waters of the Antarctic.

Reportedly observed on multiple occasions by crew members of government-operated "whale research" ships, these so-called "Ningen" (lit. "humans") are said to be completely white in color with an estimated length of 20 to 30 meters. Eyewitnesses describe them as having a human-like shape, often with legs, arms, and even five-fingered hands. Sometimes they are described as having fins or a large mermaid-like tail instead of legs. The only visible facial features are the eyes and mouth.

According to one account, crew members on deck observed what they initially thought was a foreign submarine in the distance. When they approached, however, it became clear from the irregular shape of the thing that it was not man-made -- it was alive. The creature quickly disappeared under water.

Despite their impressive size, there are very few actual reports of Ningen, and none that I can find before 2007. Of course, most of the websites are in Japanese, so if any of our Japanese readers have more insight into the Ningen, I’d love to hear it. This creature may be a modern variation of the mermaid myth, or perhaps people are mistaking the undersides of large rays for a human face.
